Itinerary
Join us every Wednesday at 9 PM for a magical evening stroll through Lucca, when the crowds fade and the city lights reveal a quieter, more mysterious charm. Led by a passionate local guide, this Night Walk explores the cityās most iconic landmarks and hidden corners, all wrapped in the soft glow of twilight.
Weāll begin in Piazzale Verdi and make our way into the historic center, passing through Piazza San Michele, along the vibrant Via Fillungo, and into the atmospheric Piazza Anfiteatro. Hear tales of Luccaās past, from Roman origins to Renaissance glory, and discover curious legends, forgotten details, and the life of the city’s most beloved figureāGiacomo Puccini.
Pause outside San Martino Cathedral, admire its illuminated facade, and trace the ancient labyrinth carved into its wall. The tour ends with a peaceful walk along Luccaās city walls, offering stunning nighttime views and a unique perspective on this timeless Tuscan gem.

San Michele in Foro
Originally founded in Roman times, the church of San Michele in Foro as we see it today dates back to the 14th century. With its striking marble façade, it is part of the “Line of Saint Michael”—a legendary ley line said to connect major sanctuaries dedicated to the saint from Ireland to Greece.

Via Fillungo
Lucca’s bustling main shopping street since Roman times, Via Fillungo continues to be the heart of local life. Today it’s lined with charming shops and boutiques, and during Christmas, it transforms into a glittering river of lights and festive atmosphere.

Piazza Anfiteatro
Built over the ruins of Lucca’s ancient Roman amphitheater, this unique oval square once hosted the city’s farmers market. Its distinctive shape and vibrant energy make it one of the most fascinating spots in town.

Duomo di San Martino
